Regulations

If you are registering with ARO for the 2024 season, you should familiarise yourself with the BHA Regulations for Arabian Horseracing before signing the declaration on the general registration form.

Regulation changes:
The British Horseracing Authority has the power, at their discretion, to make alterations to these Regulations from time to time and as they consider necessary. Changes to the Regulations mid-season will be published below with a period of notice before their implementation.

Registration

Please note that ALL NEW applicants are required to complete the ARO GENERAL Registration Form.

This must be accompanied by the relevant Registration Form for OWNER, TRAINER, JOCKEY, and HORSE, along with the correct fee made payable by client account or BACS outlined on page two of the general registration form.

Horses must be in the correct ownership with the Arab Horse Society to be registered to run under ARO rules. If you need to change the ownership of your horse please download this form and send to the AHS along with payment.

Please note some changes have been made to the forms, fill out each form in full or there may be a delay in processing. Signing the form means you are agreeing to the BHA Rules and Regulations for Arabian Horse Racing, please make sure you have read these before signing.

HORSES IN TRAINING

Whenever a horse moves in or out of training or changes yards, the trainer must notify ARO.

A Horses In Training (HIT) form must be completed and submitted to ARO on a monthly basis by the first of each month.

Please note Trainers must notify ARO if any horse will be leaving their yard before the start of the following month.

Late Administration Fee:

Please note that an administration charge will be due in respect of any late registrations. Late registrations will be judged by their marked post date. The fee is to be determined by ARO and is to be made at the sole discretion of ARO.
