In compiling the 2009
Formbook, the Handicapper has reviewed the ratings of all horses and some
changes have been made to the end of season ratings. Many of the changes
relate to new ratings awarded to Purebred horses which raced as 3 year olds
and are now aged 4, and to foreign trained horses, taking account of
performances abroad since they ran in this country. A number of small
changes have also been made to the ratings of horses trained in this country
as part of the review process. All horses will start the 2009 season on
their Handicap Rating as detailed in the formbook.
