Fontwell uniquely set in a figure of eight; its friendly atmosphere and warm welcome are further enhanced by great viewing.  The course is situated just off the A27 / A29 junction so is very easily accessible.

ARO 2007 fixtures:-
Saturday 15th June

Arabian Racing will be returning to Fontwell Park Racecourse on Sunday 15^th June, which this year coincides with Father’s Day. Voted Best Small Racecourse in the South East by the Racegoers Club for the past 17 years, Fontwell Park Racecourse is an intimate and friendly racing venue conveniently situated between the towns of Arundel and Chichester.

There are 8 races scheduled for the afternoon and this promises to be an exciting fixture, with many seasoned campaigners likely to be back in action.  Champion trainer Gill Duffield and ex-Royal Jockey Bill Smith are always well represented at this meeting and there will be an international flavour to the event as Julian Smart, the trainer for the Royal Cavalry Of Oman, expects to run a number of his 11-strong string. Smart’s team has been bolstered by the presence of UAE Arabian Derby Winner Zoumir, the first ever horse trained outside of the UAE to win the race, as well as a number a high quality maidens looking to make their racecourse debuts in 2008.

Gates open at 12 noon with the first race at 2pm.  With bar, refreshments and bookies, it is guaranteed to be a great day out for all the family.  Entry is £8 for adults, and children under-16 go Free; with access to all the enclosures, racegoers are set to Get Close To The Action!
